As part of our creative process, we run regular Sensory Workshops at The Apogee Project. We work alongside groups of collaborators with profound and multiple learning disabilities. Our workshops usually involve a musician and a loose narrative with a range of sensory elements for us to explore together.
Our workshopping process gives us the opportunity to “road test” our creative ideas with our collaborators, who are always quick to help develop or dismiss the offering!
Our collaborators are hugely influential in supporting our understanding of how we experience the world around us sensorially. These interactions form an integral part of our performances. We are extremely grateful for the time, energy and enthusiasm that each collaborator offers to our project. Without this process, creating immersive storytelling experiences that are adapted and meaningful for our audiences would not be possible.
If you know of a potential collaborator who may be interested in getting involved in our process, please contact us to find out more.
